Living in the North of Europe, means living in dark days during winter.
Lucia brings light, and the promise that there always be light.

The real Lucia was a roman woman, who refused to bring sacrificess to the emperor.
She was tortured.
Just before she died she offered her fiancee her eyes, the light.

Like with many saints, there are many stories about the kindness of Lucia.

Another version says a man loved Lucia, but his love was not returned. He adored her for her eyes. She gave them to him, but new eyes grew, and they were even more beautiful. He wanted them too, but she refused. Then he killed her.

Here in The Netherlands we don't celebrate St. Lucia, although some choirs honor her as a ptron, and ofcourse they have a special concert or meeting at the day.
Our days are not as dark as the more northern Sweden, but we understand the loning for light and lightcelebrations.

I wish all a very happy day, and a small gifts is available at the downloadpage.
Hugggss and thank you for all the beautiful graphics.
