Valentine's Day

wednesday february 15.

One way or another I was exhausted today. Had migraine too.
Didn't do half I had planned.
It rained all day. Not just rain, but buckets full...
And they're still complaining the level of the rivers is too low.
Let's wait till the snow in Germany melts and the water comes running through our rivers.

Look at what I got from Lucia:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here it's a day for secret admirers to send the person they love a signal.
Ofcourse there was nothing in the mail from a secret admirer. ***sigh***
In fact, Jim didn't even turn up at the usual time and now it's almost 21.00 hours and he isn't at home.
I don't know where he is.

Well, I have no claim on him.......

In the mail some really nice friendship mails from my online friends, which cheered me up and fed the feeling of appreciation and friendship.

Thank you all for your friendship!!!

The afternoon was spend with a pile of laundry, so now I have far too dry hands, that hurt and are red.
But a lot is done, so the bathroom looks a bit strange.... LOL!

Stef went for his last set of tests and got me something I saw on a kind of Dutch site: an old Peruvian flute.
The women who offered it lives near the place he had to be, so that was easy.
I'll send her a mail asking for the history behind the flute.
I don't mind if it's really old or fake old. I like it and I just want to know more about it.

Jim came home at 22.00 hours. Had a working conference...... yea....
It might be true. At least he didn't smell after chanel 5. LOL!

Nyo handed the letter (see yesterday) over to his gymteacher. The same man kept telling the pupils that they're not allowed to stay at home on friday, when the school planned to go skying with the kids in Germany.
He's not able to make those young people enthousiastic. I pity him.
He has done nothing at all to prepare them. No rules of the ski-piste, no exercises to give them the feel of langlaufen... nothing.
They only face a 3 hours sitting time in the bus to, and 3 hours from, and in between the cold mountains.
Can't imagine he knows how to educate children...

Well, no need for me to go with them.
Imagine sitting three hours in a bus with ADHD'ers and other young people who have social problems....

And now valentine's Day is over and I know for sure I don't have a secret admirer.........

We already have 2 silver and one gold medal at the Olympics. Isn't that great?
Well, I slept like I had lost the race and ended last... Maybe I have to go back to working untill the little hours and go to bed at three or later...
One of the boys had to go to school late, and another came back, as it turned out the teacher who had to teach him for 4 hours was ill again...
So no house for myself, only the laundry and the weekend stuff.

Nyo came home full of emotions because the gymnastics teacher had told him that he should stay inside a closed school when he didn't go with the rest to Germany for a day skying.
It took me quite some time to make him clear that the decision of his psych and me means more than that of a teacher and he would never be punished for a decision we make.

After that I wrote a clear letter to that teacher, stating in what condition Nyo is at the moment, adding information about his medication and telling him that even if I was able to accompany him, I wouldn't take Nyo with a trip like that.
Added that if he had problems with that he could speak with the educator, the mentor, or I could bring him in contact with Nyo's psychologist and psychiatrist.
Signed off with my title.
I surprised myself with doing that, as I hardly use it. But in this case I left it there.

is that man nuts to tell a child he needs to stay in a school with closed doors!!!

I didn't hear a word again from Thami about the skying trip of school.
He has seem at the Olympics that langlaufen is not a sport for sissies, and we both observed the techniques.
Also told him that sleighs and other fun stuff are available and now he wants to go.
Not without telling us over and over again that being at school at 6 in the morning is far too early for him.
Yea... hearing him complaining about that on friday morning at 4 will be far too early for us too. LOL!
